Established in 1886, KUKI SANGYO CO., LTD. is a pioneer in sesame seed processing and a trusted manufacturer of halal-certified sesame-based products, seasonings, condiments, cooking oils, coffee, teas, and cocoa. Based in Japan, we combine traditional expertise with advanced food safety systems to deliver authentic Japanese flavors to global halal markets.

Our commitment to quality and safety is demonstrated through internationally recognized certifications. ISO 9001 was first obtained in 1999, followed by ISO 22000 in 2008 and FSSC 22000 compliance when standards were updated in 2012. In 2017, we became the first sesame processing manufacturer in Japan to be certified to the JFS-C standard, recognized by the GFSI as an international benchmark for food safety.

In 2015, we proudly became the first in Japan’s sesame industry to achieve Halal certification (Japan Muslim Association) for almost all our products, alongside Kosher certification for selected items, allowing us to cater to diverse global markets with confidence.This was further strengthened in 2017, when KUKI became the first in Japan’s sesame industry to obtain JFS-C certification, benchmarked by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
