Tempered Glass

Tempered glass is a type of safety glass that is processed to make it stronger and more durable than regular glass. It undergoes a special heat treatment process, which gives it unique properties.

1. Production Process: Tempered glass is typically made from regular float glass, which is first cut to the desired size and shape.
2. Quenching: After heating, the glass is rapidly cooled by blowing air evenly onto both surfaces. This process is called quenching or air cooling.
3. Formation of Surface Compression: The differential cooling results in the outer surfaces of the glass contracting and hardening, while the inner core remains in a state of tension.
