Embossing

In the printing process of embossing, a metal die is pressed into the surface to produce a raised image or design. A three-dimensional picture or design is produced by pressing the die, which is commonly composed of steel or brass, against the substrate. Due to its formal and attractive appearance, embossing is frequently used for business cards, certificates, invitations, and official documents. Additionally, it can be applied to book covers, packaging, and other promotional items.

Embossing is a print finish process that applies pressure to the back of material so you can actually feel the design. The embossed portion can highlight logos, text, and features – even without ink!

The embossing without ink technique is sometimes used in combination with foil stamping to create eye-catching business cards, letterhead, and heavy material.
