And to reach that purpose, they had been working hard to achieve that goal and, in that process, achieved several awards and certifications.

  1. Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM) Halal-Certified: The goods from Gelatomio Production Sdn Bhd must also be halal-certified by JAKIM (Department of Islamic Development) to be marketed to Muslims in Malaysia, just like all other food items in that country. The Halal certification demonstrates that the product complies with Shariah in terms of manufacturing and that the ingredients are suitable for Muslim use. And because they followed the tight regulatory guidelines that adhered to Shariah, JAKIM granted them the Halal certificate.

  2. ISO 22000: Accreditation under ISO 22000 is given to manufacturers who can ensure the security of their products. Occasionally, not only the workers but also the products.   8. Technical Breakthrough with Musang King Durian: In late 2018, Gelatomio Production Sdn Bhd achieved a breakthrough by making a Musang King Durian flavoured Gelato which then started export to P.R.China with approval from MITI (Ministry of International Trade and Industry), MOH, and MoA.
