Laksa Noodle Packet Overview:

Laksa is a popular hot noodle soup from the Peranakan culture, which is a combination of Chinese noodles and Southeast Asian curries prevalent in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Many people believe this combination is a ‘marriage made in heaven’. In general, Laksa noodles are manufactured from rice flour. These are the noodles used in assam laksa, which is typically served in a delightful sourish and spicy fish broth and topped with a slew of fresh veggies and herbs, for example, julienned cucumber, sliced pineapples, lettuce, and mint leaves.

Rice starch noodles and rice noodles such as can be found within the Laksa noodle packet, are other names for laksa noodles. They are thick, made primarily of rice flour, and are commonly used in assam laksa. However, there are many different types of rice noodles. The Laksa noodle packet from Botan aims to recreate the authentic and traditional thick and voluminous noodles are typically associated with the original Peranakan culture, and their way of preparing Laksa.
