Fresh fish fried served with sweet sour is a popular dish in many Asian Cuisine with a balanced taste of sweet and tangy flavors. Sweet and sour fish is a delicious and colorful dish that's sure to please your taste buds with its delightful balance of flavors and be a main dish for many dinners time.

Ingredients:

For the Fish:

  • 1 pound (450g) white fish fillets (such as tilapia, cod, or snapper), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour for dredging
  • Vegetable oil for frying

 

For the Sweet and Sour Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned)
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers (red and green), cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup onion, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, sliced
  • 1/2 cup carrot, sliced
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, minced (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
